Determining if You Must Benchmark in 2018

The list has been released of all buildings that must comply with Local Law 84 of 2009. It is important to note that buildings over 25,000 square feet must now submit data for this year’s May 1st deadline.

An excel document contains the full list. You can search for your building for confirmation. You can look up a building by Borough-Block-Lot (BBL). Other details that are provided by row include street name, square footage, and lot number. Following a building with an NYCityAlerts account also informs you with a quick glance whether you are required to benchmark.

The list also includes whether the building is required to submit automated water data from the Department of Environmental Protection. Additional information about complying with this requirement can be found here.
